January 1, 2014: This blog is no longer the home of the creative mind of Sharon Lee Hughson. Please continue following her exploits on her website. New content in the form of blogs will be updated two or three times weekly in this new location. I love sharing my thoughts with you, so I hope you’ll click on over to www.sharonleehughson.com and keep the interaction going.

November 2013: I’m getting an author website. This is at the behest of social media Jedi, Kristen Lamb, and her latest book. I’m hoping the transition from this WordPress blog to seeing my musings on the website will be seamless. I was just going to have a link and keep this page, but according to my web hosting guru, it’s better for my Google search standings if all of you visit my website to read the blog.

Updated October 2013: I’ve been posting on Monday, Wednesday and Friday since September. I hope you enjoy the wider variety of topics under discussion. Also, I’m using the “wordless Wednesday” forum and posting photographs. Please comment if there is something you would like to see on my blog. Thanks for stopping by and to my followers: I love you all!

Posted August 2012:In honor of Kristen Lamb’s Book, Are you there blog? It’s me, Writer, I’m going to begin posting two times per week, Wednesday and Saturday. Wednesdays will be dedicated to all things college or family-related. Saturdays, I will discuss writing topics or spiritual health. I hope you’ll become a follower, as I’ve set some goals (per Kristen Lamb’s advice) to build my audience.

Posted June 2012: Now that summer break is upon us, I hope to blog two or three days per week. I promise there will be some college rhetoric, but I’m sure you’ve noticed my focus has been changing.

Since my goal is to become a published author, I will start posting more poems, stories and ideas that relate to the topic of writing.

If you’re a writer, I hope you’ll visit a new social networking site that’s just for artists. Check it out at: http://wanatribe.ning.com/ You’ll find me there and plenty of other writers who want to help each other succeed in reaching personal goals.

Posted February 2012: Beginning in March, I will only update this blog one day per week. Right now, I’m expecting that will occur on Saturdays, but this totally depends upon what events and/or crises dominate my life at the moment.

This week, I intend to post on four separate days. The first article, “Becoming Well-Rounded” is already live. I’ve got a bone to pick with my sons, and that will be the next article you see this week. Since this is finals week, I might reflect upon the classes from this term or I might worry aloud about what the next term (beginning on March 5) holds in store for this middle-aged co-ed.

Your comments will help me make this blog more useful for you – so please comment!

Hi Sharon. I didn’t see a follow button. Do you have one? I’ll have to find you on WANA. So neat you are there, too! I love meeting new authors.

The follow button is in the top left corner next to your blog name (which you would click to bring up the dashboard menu for your page). I hope to see you here again, as well as at WANA.
